Description

Delicious chocolate chip cookies that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup (167g) salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (123g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (115g) granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (304g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (200g) favorite chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the salted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Incorporate the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop the dough into 1 1/2 tbsp portions and arrange on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden on the edges.
  8. Allow to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • For a chewier cookie, add an extra egg yolk.
