Description
Flaky golden crescent rolls filled with sweet cream cheese and juicy blueberries, baked until golden and topped with a light glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 can (8-count) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or puff pastry, cut into 8 rectangles)
- 1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
- 1 tbsp coarse sugar (optional, for topping)
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles (or rectangles if using puff pastry).
- Spread about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each dough piece. Place a few blueberries on top of the filling. Roll up the dough (starting at the wider end if using crescents) and pinch edges to seal.
- Place rolls on prepared baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use full-fat cream cheese.
- These rolls can be made with either fresh or frozen blueberries.
- Adjust the glaze consistency by adding more or less milk.
