Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 recommended for juiciness)
  • 1 egg (binder)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 cubes of cheddar or mozzarella (for molten center)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional, for crusty top)
  • BBQ sauce or ketchup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined and form into mini cake shapes.
  4. Press a cube of cheddar or mozzarella into the center of each mini cake.
  5. Place the cakes on a baking sheet and bake for 30–35 minutes.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top before baking for a crusty finish.
  7. Serve with BBQ sauce or ketchup.
