Description
Indulge in the deliciousness of Cheeseburger Lava Cake, a unique dessert that combines the savory flavors of a cheeseburger with a molten cheese center.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 recommended for juiciness)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella
- 2 tbsp cream cheese (softened, for creaminess)
- 2 tbsp butter (for searing)
- Optional: BBQ sauce or ketchup glaze on top
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix cheddar, mozzarella, and cream cheese until smooth. Roll into 2–3 tablespoon-sized balls and freeze for 15–20 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Divide into equal portions (about 6).
- Flatten each beef portion into a patty. Place a frozen cheese ball in the center of one patty. Cover with another patty, sealing the edges tightly to encase the cheese.
- Heat butter in a skillet or oven-safe pan over medium-high heat. Sear patties for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 10–12 minutes, until beef is cooked through but cheese inside is still molten.
- Slice into the center and watch the molten cheese flow out! Optional: Brush the tops with BBQ sauce or ketchup glaze before serving for extra flavor.
Notes
- Ensure the cheese balls are well-frozen to maintain their shape during cooking.
- Adjust seasoning according to personal taste.
- Serve immediately for the best molten effect.
