Description
A fun twist on classic lasagna! Tender lasagna noodles are rolled up with a rich beef and ricotta filling, topped with marinara sauce, melted mozzarella, and baked until bubbling and cheesy.

- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (plus extra for topping)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 3 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella (for topping)
- Extra parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook lasagna noodles until al dente. Drain and lay flat on parchment paper or a baking sheet to prevent sticking.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess fat. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and the cooked beef mixture. Stir well.
- Spread 1–2 tablespoons of filling evenly over each noodle. Roll noodles up tightly and place seam-side down in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over the roll-ups. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot with garlic bread or a side salad.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with sautéed vegetables or mushrooms.
- Feel free to add more cheese for a cheesier flavor.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
