Cheesy Dorito Beef Bake is the ultimate comfort dish that combines ground beef, creamy soup, and crunchy Doritos for a deliciously satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade mix)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos (about 910 oz), slightly crushed
  • Fresh cilantro or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in garlic, taco seasoning, and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix the soup and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Add half of this mixture into the cooked beef. Stir well.
  6. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the crushed Doritos.
  7. Spread the beef mixture evenly on top.
  8. Add the remaining soup-sour cream mixture.
  9. Sprinkle 1 ½ cups shredded cheese over the top.
  10. Finish with the rest of the Doritos and remaining cheese.
  11. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Garnish with cilantro or green onions before serving.
