Description

Delicious and easy-to-make cheesy ham puffs that can be prepared in just 20 minutes using one bowl.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups (180 g) Bisquick or self-rising flour
  • 1½ cups (150 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups (225–300 g) finely diced cooked ham
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) milk or buttermilk
  • Optional for garnish: Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine Bisquick (or self-rising flour), shredded cheddar cheese, and diced ham.
  3. Pour in milk or buttermilk and stir until the mixture just comes together. Avoid overmixing.
  4. Using a spoon or a small cookie scoop, drop rounded mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, consider adding diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
  • These puffs can be frozen before baking; just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from frozen.
