Description
A delicious and cheesy pull-apart garlic bread recipe that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large round sourdough or crusty bread loaf
- 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (or 1 tbsp dried parsley)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (optional mix-in)
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the bread on a large piece of foil.
- Using a serrated knife, cut the bread in a crosshatch pattern (about 1-inch wide cubes), being careful not to slice all the way through the bottom.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Gently pull apart the bread cubes and drizzle the garlic butter mixture between the cuts.
- Tuck shredded mozzarella (and cheddar, if using) into the cracks so the bread is stuffed with cheese throughout.
- Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then open the foil and bake an additional 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is golden.
- Sprinkle with extra parsley and serve warm.
