Description

Cheesy Taco Sticks are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or appetizer, perfect for any gathering or family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend)
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent roll dough)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • Salsa, sour cream, or guacamole (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened. Let cool slightly.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment. Roll out pizza dough and cut into 8 rectangles. Place a spoonful of taco beef and a generous sprinkle of cheese in the center of each rectangle. Fold dough over filling, pinching edges to seal. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
  3. Brush tops with melted butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder, parsley, and extra cheese. Bake 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  4. Serve warm with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños to the taco filling.
  • These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
