Description
Cheesy Taco Sticks are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or appetizer, perfect for any gathering or family meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend)
- ½ cup water
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent roll dough)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- Salsa, sour cream, or guacamole (for dipping)
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened. Let cool slightly.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment. Roll out pizza dough and cut into 8 rectangles. Place a spoonful of taco beef and a generous sprinkle of cheese in the center of each rectangle. Fold dough over filling, pinching edges to seal. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
- Brush tops with melted butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder, parsley, and extra cheese. Bake 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
- Serve warm with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add jalapeños to the taco filling.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
- Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavors.
