Description

A delicious and easy garlic butter chicken recipe that is perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or chives

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed chicken in a bowl and season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and oregano. Mix well and let it sit for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes, then flip and cook another 4–5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low. Move the chicken to one side of the pan and melt butter on the other. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Mix chicken with garlic butter, stir in lemon juice (if using), and garnish with parsley or chives. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a couple of hours before cooking.
  • Serve with rice or pasta for a complete meal.
