Description

Crunchy waffle cones dipped in chocolate and decorated like sparkling Christmas trees with candy, truffles, and festive drizzle. Perfect for kids, parties, dessert tables, or edible centerpieces!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 waffle cones
  • 200 g milk or dark chocolate (for dipping)
  • 6 pretzel rounds or cookies (tree base)
  • 100 g white chocolate (for drizzling)
  • Mini chocolate truffles, Ferrero chunks, or brownie bites
  • Red mini candies (red pearls, Sixlets, M&Ms, cranberries)
  • Edible gold sugar or sprinkles
  • Edible gold star toppers (or small cookies shaped like stars)
  • Optional: Shredded coconut (for snow)
  • Optional: Crushed peppermint
  • Optional: Edible glitter

Instructions

  1. Melt the milk/dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Dip each waffle cone fully into the chocolate until coated.
  3. Shake off excess and stand the cones upside-down on parchment paper.
  4. Let them cool until firm (10–15 minutes).
  5. Dip the rim of each cone into melted chocolate.
  6. Press onto a pretzel round or cookie to create a sturdy base.
  7. Let set completely.
  8. Melt the white chocolate and add to a piping bag or drizzle bottle.
  9. Drizzle white chocolate in spirals around each tree to mimic garlands.
  10. Quickly attach mini chocolate truffles, candy pearls, red candies, and crushed peppermint.
  11. While still soft, sprinkle with edible gold sugar or glitter.
  12. Pipe a small dot of melted chocolate on top of each cone.
  13. Press on an edible gold star or small cookie star.
  14. Hold 2–3 seconds until stable.

Notes

  • These cones can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container.
  • Feel free to customize decorations based on personal preferences or available ingredients.
