Description

Cranberry Honey Puff Pastry Swirls are a delightful and festive treat, perfect for holiday gatherings. These easy-to-make swirls combine the sweetness of honey and brown sugar with tart cranberry sauce, all wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned whole-berry)
  • Fresh cranberries (or sugared cranberries) for garnish
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly grease a muffin pan (this helps them hold shape).
  3. Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Mix together honey, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  5. Spread the honey mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  6. Spread a thin, even layer of cranberry sauce over top.
  7. Roll up the pastry tightly from one long side like a jelly roll.
  8. Slice into 12 even swirls using a serrated knife.
  9. Place each swirl into the muffin pan wells.
  10. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until puffed and golden caramelized.
  11. Let cool for 5 minutes before removing (the honey forms a sticky glaze!).
  12. Add 3–4 fresh cranberries on top of each swirl.
  13. Tuck in a tiny rosemary tip for the holiday wreath look.
  14. Lightly dust with powdered sugar to resemble snow.

Notes

  • Ensure the puff pastry is cold for easier handling.
  • Feel free to use store-bought cranberry sauce for convenience.
  • These swirls can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
