Description

A delicious and creamy pasta dish featuring salmon, garlic, and butter, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb (700g) salmon fillets, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: red chili flakes (for heat)
  • 10 oz (280g) fettuccine or linguine
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup (30g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth OR pasta cooking water
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Fresh parsley (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Pat salmon dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika. Heat olive oil + butter in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add salmon pieces and sear 2–3 minutes per side until golden. Remove salmon from the pan and set aside (do not overcook).
  3. In the same pan, melt 3 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and sauté 30 seconds (don’t brown it). Pour in heavy cream + chicken broth/pasta water. Add Parmesan + Italian seasoning + salt & pepper. Stir and simmer on low 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Add lemon juice — stir in gently.
  4. Add pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Gently add the cooked salmon back in. Spoon sauce over everything. Sprinkle fresh parsley + red chili flakes if desired. Serve immediately while hot and creamy.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more red chili flakes.
  • Ensure not to overcook the salmon for a tender texture.
  • Fresh parsley adds a nice touch of color and flavor.
