A quick and delicious ramen noodle soup made with garlic, ginger, and topped with scallions and sesame seeds.

- 1 pack instant ramen noodles
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 soft-boiled egg (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped scallions
- 1 sheet nori (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, heat a splash of oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in the broth and bring it to a simmer. Add soy sauce and stir.
- Lower the heat and slowly whisk in milk or cream. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes without boiling.
- Add ramen noodles and cook according to package directions, usually about 3 minutes.
- Serve in a large bowl. Top with halved soft-boiled egg, scallions, nori, and sesame seeds.
Notes
- This recipe is versatile; feel free to add protein or vegetables of your choice.
- For a richer flavor, use bone broth instead of regular broth.
