Description

A quick and delicious ramen noodle soup made with garlic, ginger, and topped with scallions and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack instant ramen noodles
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 soft-boiled egg (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped scallions
  • 1 sheet nori (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat a splash of oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  2. Pour in the broth and bring it to a simmer. Add soy sauce and stir.
  3. Lower the heat and slowly whisk in milk or cream. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes without boiling.
  4. Add ramen noodles and cook according to package directions, usually about 3 minutes.
  5. Serve in a large bowl. Top with halved soft-boiled egg, scallions, nori, and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • This recipe is versatile; feel free to add protein or vegetables of your choice.
