Description
Delicious beef and broccoli stir-fry dish served over rice.
Ingredients

- 1 lbs beef flank steak, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, beef broth, and cornstarch until well combined.
- Place the sliced beef into the crock pot and pour the sauce over it, stirring to coat the beef.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the beef is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets and cook until bright green and just tender.
- Serve the beef and broccoli over cooked rice, garnishing with sesame seeds or slivered almonds as desired.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the beef in the soy sauce mixture for a few hours prior to cooking.
- Consider using fresh ginger for a more pronounced flavor.
