Description

Delicious beef and broccoli stir-fry dish served over rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lbs beef flank steak, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, beef broth, and cornstarch until well combined.
  2. Place the sliced beef into the crock pot and pour the sauce over it, stirring to coat the beef.
  3. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the beef is tender.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets and cook until bright green and just tender.
  5. Serve the beef and broccoli over cooked rice, garnishing with sesame seeds or slivered almonds as desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the beef in the soy sauce mixture for a few hours prior to cooking.
  • Consider using fresh ginger for a more pronounced flavor.
