  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, plus more for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
  4. Add pumpkin and vanilla extract to the egg mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into a greased cake pan.
  7. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the batter and swirl gently.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool and dust with additional powdered sugar before serving.
