- 6 slices brioche bread (1 inch thick)
- 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 large fresh oranges (zest and juice)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Cut brioche into thick slices and arrange them in the baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, ricotta cheese, vanilla, cinnamon, and zest from one orange until smooth.
- Pour half of the custard over the bread slices; let it soak for about 10 minutes.
- Drizzle remaining custard over the bread, topping with additional orange zest. Let rest for another 10 minutes.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving hot.
