Ferrero Rocher Tres Leches Cups are a delightful dessert combining the rich flavors of chocolate sponge cake soaked in a creamy tres leches mixture, topped with whipped frosting and decorated with Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

- For the Chocolate Sponge
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- ½ cup (50 g) cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup (120 ml) buttermilk
- For the Tres Leches Mixture
- 1 cup (240 ml) evaporated milk
- 1 cup (240 ml) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Nutella (optional, for extra hazelnut flavor)
- For the Frosting
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, chilled
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For Decoration
- Chocolate ganache or chocolate syrup (for drizzle)
- 12 Ferrero Rocher chocolates
- White sugar pearls or sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with foil cups.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk until smooth.
- Divide batter into cups and bake 20–22 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely.
- In a bowl, whisk evaporated milk, condensed milk, cream, and Nutella.
- Poke holes in each cooled cake with a skewer or fork.
- Spoon tres leches mixture over each cake until absorbed.
- Chill for at least 3 hours (best overnight).
- Whip chilled cream, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Pipe onto each cake.
- Drizzle chocolate ganache or syrup on top.
- Place a Ferrero Rocher in the center.
- Sprinkle with sugar pearls.
Notes
- For best results, let the cakes soak overnight in the tres leches mixture.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the frosting to your preference.
- Nutella is optional but adds a delicious hazelnut flavor.
