Description

Indulge in this delightful Ferrero Rocher Trifle Dessert, featuring layers of rich brownie, creamy filling, and decadent chocolate ganache, topped with Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (50 g) cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup (150 g) sugar
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) milk
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (120 ml) heavy cream, whipped (optional for lightness)
  • 200 g milk chocolate (or Nutella mix)
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp hazelnut spread (Nutella or similar)
  • 4 Ferrero Rocher chocolates
  • 2 tbsp roasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp crushed brownies or chocolate crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined. Pour into a parchment-lined pan and bake for 20–25 minutes. Let it cool completely, then crumble and press into the base of your dessert container.
  2. In a saucepan, whisk milk, cornstarch, and sugar until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and creamy (about 5–7 minutes). Remove from heat, add vanilla, and cool slightly. Fold in whipped cream (optional) for a lighter texture. Pour the cream over the brownie layer and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  3. Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until hot but not boiling. Pour it over chopped chocolate and hazelnut spread. Wait 1–2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy. Let it cool slightly before pouring over the cream layer. Chill again until set (about 30 minutes).
  4. Once chilled, top with Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Sprinkle roasted hazelnuts and brownie crumbs for crunch. Optionally, drizzle with a touch of extra Nutella for shine.

Notes

  • Ensure the brownie base is completely cooled before adding the cream layer.
  • For a lighter dessert, folding in whipped cream is recommended.
  • Chilling times may vary based on your refrigerator settings.
