Ingredients

  • 1 foam cone (styrofoam) OR a tall carrot / pineapple core
  • Toothpicks
  • 1 star-shaped fruit slice (pineapple, melon, or cheese)
  • Strawberries
  • Mandarin orange segments
  • Kiwi slices
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Grapes (red & green)
  • Cranberries (fresh or sugared)
  • Pineapple chunks
  • Optional: pomegranate seeds for sparkle
  • Optional Garnishes: Powdered sugar “snow”, Mint leaves, Small edible stars

Instructions

  1. Wash everything and pat fully dry. Peel and slice kiwis; segment mandarins. Remove stems from strawberries. Cut a pineapple or melon slice into a star.
  2. Option A: Wrap the foam cone tightly in plastic wrap (food-safe) and place it on a sturdy plate. Option B: Stand a large peeled carrot or pineapple spear/core upright and trim the bottom flat to avoid wobbling.
  3. Insert toothpicks halfway into the cone and press fruit pieces onto the exposed ends, working from bottom to top, overlapping to make the cone full and colorful. Fill small gaps with blueberries, raspberries, or cranberries, mixing colors for the best Christmas-tree effect.
  4. Place your pineapple/melon/cheese star at the top on a long toothpick or skewer.
  5. Dust lightly with powdered sugar for a snowy look, add mint leaves as holly leaves, and sprinkle pomegranate seeds for sparkle.
