A spicy and sweet hot sauce made with fresh pineapple and habanero peppers, perfect for elevating your meals.

- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks (or canned, drained)
- 2–3 orange habanero peppers (stem removed, seeds optional for less heat)
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp honey (or agave syrup)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp mustard seeds (optional, for texture)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine pineapple, habaneros, garlic, vinegar, lime juice, honey, and salt.
- Blend until smooth or slightly chunky, depending on your preferred texture.
- Pour the mixture into a saucepan over medium heat.
- Simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Add mustard seeds in the last few minutes for an artisanal touch.
- Taste and adjust: add more honey for sweetness, or more vinegar for tang.
- Stir in fresh cilantro if desired.
- Let the sauce cool completely before transferring to sterilized jars or bottles.
- Refrigerate for up to 3 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
- Shake before using.
