Description
A delicious recipe for puff pastry twists filled with cinnamon and butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- Dulce de leche or chocolate spread
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 12×8 inches, ensuring even thickness throughout.
- Brush the entire surface of the pastry with melted butter, reaching all the way to the edges.
- In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, then sprinkle the mixture generously over the buttered pastry.
- Cut the pastry into 8-10 strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, each about 1 inch wide.
- Twist each strip into a spiral by holding both ends and rotating in opposite directions.
- Place the twisted pastries on your prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve immediately while still warm for the best texture contrast.
Notes
- For a different flavor, try using a chocolate spread instead of dulce de leche.
- Make sure to roll the pastry evenly for consistent baking.
