A quick and delicious recipe for Garlic Butter Shrimp Cheese Toast, perfect for a delightful appetizer or snack.

- 4 thick slices of bread (Texas toast or brioche works best)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tails on optional)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange bread slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle each slice generously with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté 30 seconds until fragrant. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Toss with fresh parsley.
- Remove cheesy bread from oven. Spoon garlic butter shrimp evenly on top of each toast slice. Drizzle with pan garlic butter. Garnish with extra parsley and Parmesan.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to use different types of cheese for variation.
- This dish is best served immediately after preparation.
