Description

Delicious Ham & Gouda Puff Pastry Muffins topped with a tangy Dijon glaze, perfect for a quick snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup diced ham (about 150 g)
  • 1 cup shredded Gouda cheese (or cubes, about 120 g)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for a twist)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Grease a muffin tin or line with parchment squares.
  3. Roll out puff pastry sheet slightly on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 6–8 squares.
  4. Press each puff pastry square gently into the muffin tin, letting the edges hang over slightly.
  5. Fill with diced ham and shredded/cubed Gouda cheese.
  6. Sprinkle parsley if desired.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until pastry is puffed and golden brown, and cheese is bubbling.
  8. While muffins bake, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, melted butter, and garlic powder.
  9. Once out of the oven, brush muffins lightly with Dijon glaze while still warm.
  10. Serve hot, with extra glaze on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the ham and add more cheese or vegetables.
  • These muffins can be made ahead and reheated in the oven.
