- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ΒΌ cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp – Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Mix the Sauce – In a bowl, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil. If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch until smooth.
- Cook the Shrimp – Heat a little olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer.
- Season – Sprinkle the shrimp with salt and pepper. Cook for 2β3 minutes, until the shrimp begin turning pink.
- Add the Sauce – Pour the honey garlic mixture over the shrimp. Toss gently so all the shrimp are evenly coated.
- Simmer – Reduce the heat slightly and let the shrimp simmer in the sauce for 3β5 minutes, until fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
- Garnish – Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve – Serve immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.
