Description

A delicious and easy shrimp recipe coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ΒΌ cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp – Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix the Sauce – In a bowl, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil. If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch until smooth.
  3. Cook the Shrimp – Heat a little olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer.
  4. Season – Sprinkle the shrimp with salt and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until the shrimp begin turning pink.
  5. Add the Sauce – Pour the honey garlic mixture over the shrimp. Toss gently so all the shrimp are evenly coated.
  6. Simmer – Reduce the heat slightly and let the shrimp simmer in the sauce for 3–5 minutes, until fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish – Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  8. Serve – Serve immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.
