Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
  4. Add the baking soda and salt to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Stir in the granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  6. Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon with a tablespoon of sugar. Swirl half of this mixture into the banana bread batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top, swirling gently to create a marbled effect.
  9. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
