This banana bread recipe is simple and delicious, perfect for using up ripe bananas.

- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
- Add the baking soda and salt to the mixture and mix well.
- Stir in the granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon with a tablespoon of sugar. Swirl half of this mixture into the banana bread batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top, swirling gently to create a marbled effect.
- Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Store leftover banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- This recipe can be easily doubled to make two loaves.
