- 1 ¾ cups gluten-free flour blend
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder (gluten-free)
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk or dairy-free milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour blend, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and gently level it out.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks. Let cool completely before frosting.
