Description

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup fresh sage leaves, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, brown sugar, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together warm milk, melted butter, and pumpkin puree until smooth. Pour into the dry ingredients.
  3. Fold in chopped sage leaves until evenly mixed.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into golf ball-sized portions. Arrange on a greased baking tray.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
