- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- In a large bowl, combine red velvet cake mix and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until creamy; mix in melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips and optional red food coloring into the red velvet mixture.
- Spread half of the red velvet mixture into the prepared pan; dollop cream cheese mixture on top and swirl with a knife.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until set but soft; cool completely before refrigerating for at least two hours.
