Description

This savory low-carb stir-fry is a delicious and healthy meal option featuring ground beef and shredded cabbage.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a soy-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar substitute (such as erythritol)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar substitute, and chili flakes. Mix well, ensuring the beef absorbs all the flavors.
  5. Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and toss to combine. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is slightly softened but still has a little crunch.
  6. Remove from heat and top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy this savory, low-carb meal!
