Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies that are soft and chewy.

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate chips together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- Whisk granulated sugar and brown sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until glossy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until thick and well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until tops are crackled and centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
