Description
Delicious Neapolitan Surprise Cupcakes filled with strawberry cream and topped with whipped cream and chocolate ganache.

- 1 ½ cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup (120 ml) milk
- 4 oz (113 g) cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup (30 g) powdered sugar
- ½ cup (120 g) strawberry jam
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- Pink food coloring (optional, for strawberry effect)
- ½ cup chocolate ganache (melted chocolate + cream)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Add dry mixture alternately with milk, mixing until smooth.
- Divide batter evenly among cupcake liners. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in strawberry jam until well combined.
- Cut out a small hole in the center of each cupcake (use a knife or cupcake corer). Fill with about 1 teaspoon of strawberry cream mixture. Replace the top piece of cake to cover.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Tint with pink food coloring if desired. Pipe generously on top of filled cupcakes.
- Drizzle with chocolate ganache. Add sprinkles for a festive Neapolitan look.
Notes
- Ensure cupcakes are completely cool before filling to prevent melting the filling.
- Use a cupcake corer for a cleaner hole when filling.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of strawberry jam based on your taste preference.
