Description

A fluffy, cool, holiday-ready dip loaded with crushed candy canes, mini chocolate chips, and sweet cream cheese. Irresistible with pretzels, graham crackers, or fresh fruit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream or 1 cup Cool Whip
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp peppermint extract (optional but enhances flavor)
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • ½ cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • Extra crushed peppermint (for topping)
  • Extra chocolate chips (for topping)
  • Pretzels (for serving)
  • Chocolate cookies (for serving)
  • Graham crackers (for serving)
  • Fresh strawberries (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Make the Cheesecake Base: Beat the softened cream cheese in a bowl until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and peppermint extract. Beat again until fully combined. Whip the heavy cream separately until soft peaks form, then fold gently into the cream cheese mixture. If using Cool Whip, simply fold it in without whipping.
  2. Add the Holiday Mix-ins: Fold in the mini chocolate chips. Fold in most of the crushed peppermint (reserve some for topping). Mix gently to keep the dip fluffy.
  3. Assemble & Chill: Transfer into a serving bowl. Top with extra peppermint pieces and chocolate chips. Chill at least 30 minutes for the flavors to blend and the texture to thicken.

Notes

  • This dip is perfect for holiday gatherings and can be served with a variety of dippers.
  • For a stronger peppermint flavor, increase the amount of peppermint extract.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
