Description

A creamy, cool, cloud-soft Christmas dessert dip with peppermint sparkle and winter cranberry pop.


Ingredients

  • 1 box (3.4 oz / 96g) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 jar (8 oz / 225g) Marshmallow Fluff or marshmallow crème
  • 1 tub (8 oz / 225g) Cool Whip or whipped topping, thawed (or use 2 cups homemade whipped cream)
  • 1 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
  • ½ tsp peppermint extract (add up to 1 tsp for a stronger flavor)
  • 1 to 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup fresh or sugared cranberries
  • Crushed candy canes or peppermint candies (about 3–4 candies)
  • Optional: white chocolate flakes or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk pudding mix and cold milk until slightly thickened (about 1 minute). Add marshmallow fluff and beat until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip or whipped cream gently until fluffy and combined.
  2. Stir together cranberry sauce and peppermint extract. Gently swirl it into the fluff — don’t overmix to create a candy-cane pink marbled effect.
  3. Fold in 1 cup mini marshmallows. Spoon into a serving bowl and garnish with sugared cranberries, extra marshmallows, and crushed peppermint. Optionally, sprinkle with white chocolate flakes.
  4. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving to thicken and develop flavor. Serve with vanilla wafers, butter crackers, pretzels, gingerbread cookies, apple slices, or just a big spoon.

Notes

  • For a stronger peppermint flavor, increase the peppermint extract to 1 tsp.
