- 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ tsp pure peppermint extract
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup (90 g) red candy melts or ½ cup white chocolate chips + red gel food coloring
- ¼ tsp peppermint extract
- ½ tsp vegetable oil
- Crushed peppermint candies or candy canes (optional)
- Sparkling sugar or white chocolate drizzle (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. Lightly grease with butter or nonstick spray.
- Make the White Chocolate Fudge: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir constantly until smooth and fully melted. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract and a pinch of salt.
- Create the Red Swirl: In a small bowl, melt the red candy melts (or white chocolate + food coloring) with vegetable oil in short 20-second bursts in the microwave. Stir until smooth and add peppermint extract.
- Assemble the Swirl: Pour the white fudge mixture onto the prepared pan and spread evenly. Drop small spoonfuls of the red mixture on top. Use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl the red through the white fudge to create a peppermint spiral pattern. Tip: Don’t overmix — you want distinct red swirls.
- Chill & Cut: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. Lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut into small bite-sized squares. Optionally, roll the edges in crushed peppermint or dust with sparkling sugar for a holiday touch.
