Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds tri tip
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 15 ounces beef broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary (dried)
  • 1 teaspoon thyme (dried)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Remove and discard the fat from the roast. Place the trimmed roast in a crockpot on low.

  3. Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours.
  4. Take the meat out and shred it, then let it cook for 1-2 hours more, or until the meat is very tender.
  5. Remove the meat from the broth, reserving the broth.

  7. Place under a broiler until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
