Scale
- 3 ½ cups (440g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (240ml) warm milk
- ¼ cup (50g) sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 packet (7g) instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup (60g) softened butter
- 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
- ½ cup (120g) creamy chocolate spread (Nutella-style)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 cups mini marshmallows OR 1 cup marshmallow fluff
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let stand 5 minutes until slightly foamy.
- Add egg, softened butter, salt, and mix.
- Add flour gradually and knead until a soft dough forms (5–7 minutes).
- Cover the bowl and let rise 1 to 1.5 hours, until doubled in size.
- Mix melted butter with chocolate spread. Set chocolate chips aside.
- Roll the dough into a large rectangle (about 40×30 cm). Spread the chocolate mixture evenly. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Roll tightly into a log and cut into 8–10 rolls. Place rolls into a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake for 20–25 minutes, until lightly golden.
- Option 1 — Spread a thick layer of fluff over the warm rolls and torch until golden.
- Option 2 — Add a generous layer of mini marshmallows on top and return the dish to the oven and broil for 1–2 minutes, watching closely so they don’t burn!
