Description

A refreshing and nutritious mixed berry smoothie, perfect for any time of the day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup chilled whole milk (or skim, or plant-based)
  • ½ cup chilled plain yogurt (full-fat, low-fat, Greek, plant-based or strawberry flavored)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces strawberries (100 g, sliced and frozen)
  • ½ cup blueberries (frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup or agave nectar)

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen berries to the large jar of a high-speed blender.
  2. If your blender is not high-power, then thaw the frozen berries for 10 minutes for easy blending.
  3. Add milk, yogurt, vanilla extract, and honey to the jar.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Add some more milk if the smoothie is thick for your liking.
  6. Check for sweetness and add some more honey if needed.
  7. Pour into 2 serving glasses.
  8. Garnish with some more berries and a sprig of mint and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using flavored yogurt.
  • Adjust the sweetness based on personal preference.
  • This smoothie can also be made with fresh berries, but frozen berries provide a thicker texture.
