Description

A refreshing strawberry lassi made with fresh or frozen strawberries, yogurt, and a hint of cardamom.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 ounces strawberries (300 g, fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups chilled plain yogurt (full-fat, Greek, or low-fat)
  • ¼ cup chilled milk (whole, skim or low-fat)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or honey)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom (or rose water)

Instructions

  1. Wash strawberries and wipe them using a kitchen cloth. Chop off the top leafy part and cut the strawberry into small pieces.
  2. Note – If using frozen strawberries, then use them directly. If your blender is not powerful, then thaw the strawberries for 10 minutes for easy blending.
  3. Add the chopped strawberries to a blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Add yogurt, milk, sugar, and cardamom to the blender and blend well.
  5. If the lassi is thick for your liking, add some milk and blend again. Check for sugar and add more if required.
  6. Pour the lassi into two tall glasses and serve chilled. You can add a few ice cubes to each glass too.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try using rose water instead of cardamom.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar based on your preference.
