A delightful recipe for strawberry sweet rolls that combines a soft dough with a sweet strawberry filling and a creamy topping.

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup warm milk
- 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, diced
- ¼ cup sugar (for filling)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for cream cheese layer)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Fresh strawberries, sliced (for topping)
- Extra cream cheese filling or glaze (for topping)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Warm the milk and mix with yeast and sugar; let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add eggs, butter, salt, and flour. Knead until soft and elastic (about 8–10 minutes).
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
- In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Cook on medium heat until thickened into a jam-like consistency. Cool completely.
- Roll dough into a rectangle (12×16 inches). Spread cooled strawberry filling evenly over dough.
- Roll tightly into a log and slice into 8–10 rolls. Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise another 30–40 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture on top of cooled rolls.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries and dust lightly with powdered sugar.

- Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast properly.
- Let the rolls cool before adding the cream cheese layer for best results.
- These rolls are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
