Hearty Beef and Bean Chili

Description

A delicious and hearty beef and bean chili that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 3 tablespoons homemade)
  • 2 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans (undrained)
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans (undrained)
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans (undrained)
  • 1 can (4 ounces) green chiles (undrained)
  • 2 cups frozen corn
  • 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot on medium-high heat add the ground beef and onion and cook until browned about 7-8 minutes.
  2. Add in the garlic and cook another 30 seconds.
  3. Add in the chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and taco seasoning, and cook another 30 seconds.
  4. Add in the beans, green chiles, corn, tomatoes and ranch seasoning and give it a stir.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and mix until combined, and simmer on low for 1 hour with the lid on.
  6. Serve with all of your favorite toppings!

Notes

  • This chili is great served with cornbread or over rice.
  • Customize by adding your favorite toppings such as cheese, sour cream, or avocado.
