Description
Cute crunchy bears “hugging” a mini chocolate bar — easy, no-mold, no-fuss recipe!
Ingredients
Scale
- 120 g unsalted butter (softened)
- 100 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 220 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 80 g coconut flakes OR very fine crushed cornflakes
- 40 g milk powder (optional but gives fluffiness)
- Mini chocolate bars (Kinder, Milka, etc.)
- White chocolate (for muzzle + eyes)
- Dark chocolate (for pupils + nose)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cookie Dough: Beat the butter + sugar until creamy. Add the egg + vanilla and mix again. Add flour + baking powder + salt. Mix until a soft dough forms. Wrap and chill 30 min.
- Shape the Teddy Bears: Preheat oven to 170°C. Roll dough into small balls: Body: 1 big ball, Head: 1 medium ball, Arms: 2 small cylinders, Legs: 2 small balls, Ears: 2 tiny balls. Press lightly to assemble the bear on a baking tray. Dip or roll each part in crushed coconut/cornflakes for the fluffy effect. Place a mini chocolate bar on the belly. Fold the two arms forward to “hug” the chocolate.
- Bake: Bake 10–12 min at 170°C. Let cool completely (important so chocolate does not melt!).
- Decorate the Face: Melt a bit of white chocolate → Pipe muzzle, Add eyes. Melt a bit of dark chocolate → Add nose, Add pupils. Let set until firm.
Notes
- Ensure the chocolate does not melt by letting the cookies cool completely before decorating.
- Milk powder is optional but recommended for added fluffiness.
