  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 avocados, diced
  • ½ red onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 cup nacho chips or Doritos (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef, cook until browned.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmer until thickened.
  4. Let it cool slightly before layering.
  5. First Layer: Crushed tortilla chips at the bottom of a large glass trifle bowl.
  6. Second Layer: Spoon half of the taco meat over the chips.
  7. Third Layer: Spread a layer of sour cream.
  8. Fourth Layer: Add shredded lettuce.
  9. Fifth Layer: Top with diced tomatoes and salsa.
  10. Sixth Layer: Add the remaining taco meat and spread evenly.
  11. Seventh Layer: Sprinkle generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
  12. Add diced avocado, red onion, and cilantro on top.
  13. Garnish with nacho chips for crunch.
